Math in the Middle provides an integrated approach to enriching middle-school math. Featuring pre-algebra concepts, the five thematic units engage students in math learning. Real-world examples enhance a problem-based approach to middle-school math.
In Math in the Middle...of Oceans each episode includes a video fieldtrip to help students see real life applications of the many aspects of oceans featured in the series. Examples include a visit with an aquanaut conducting research on a submarine, checking out loggerhead sea turtle nesting sites and cruising with whales.
