Travel to Africa to study local plants that serve as food and medicine or are poisonous. Trek through various habitats as Fatimah Jackson, Ph.D., collects plant samples, then studies them in the laboratory.
Explore the interaction of energy, food, and personal health as well as the chemical make up of foods. Understand the contributions of people from different cultures as this African plant expert investigates how certain foods prevent or cure human diseases.
Each Wonderwise: Women in Science kit includes a DVD or VHS, CD-ROM and Activity guide. The CD-ROM sound track and text are available in both English and Spanish.
