Biomes are terrestrial zones characterized by particular types of vegetation and animals. An environmental educator points out the differences in the two different biomes - the temperate forests and the midlatitude grassland -that converge at the Konzo Prairie, in eastern Kansas.
A civil engineer explains how he uses regional and topographical maps in his work.
