Series Title: Math in the Middle…of Motion
Volcanoes, geysers, earthquakes, thunder, and lightening are just a few examples of motion within our environment. A meteorologist explores what conditions can trigger these motions, and a researcher explains how earthquakes are monitored.
This episode challenges students to:
• Explore the time/space allotted for advertising in magazines, newspapers, and television.
• Analyze TV-watching and radio-listening habits.
• Reflect on the use of geometric elements in the visual composition of ads and commercials.
