Series Title: The Chinese
This episode deals with the special relationship Chinese have with food in a country that often has had less than it needs to survive. The techniques used in raising food, the ritual involved in its preparation, the new "responsibility system" in the countryside, and the sophisticated eating habits of the Cantonese are examined.
